BUILDING CHILDREN THROUGH CHRISTIAN CHARACTER AT CHRISTIAN SCHOOL.
Christian curriculum about charater building is must based on 3 things :
1. All teacher or educator must be a believer and have a Christian life.
If we want our children become a person who have a Christian character like our savior Jesus Christ, we must start from that educator. All person at that Christian school must receive Jesus Christ become his personal savior, and with pass their time, they must have a progress spiritual life in Jesus Christ character. With all of that thing, we can hope that educator or teacher have a commitment to transfer their life to our children. I'm sure all of us like and hope our beloved child can face the situation at their world. We hope our children can grow up and become a tough people, like a lighthouse can face storm, heavy rain and all bad weather at the sea. With all the hard circumstances, the lighthouse still stand firm and unshakeable. For this hope, teacher at that christian school must have spiritual life grow in their life. With this condition, they can commit to regularly pray for the students will grow in loving relationship to God. With this life, they can encourage children to have a positive life and become a person who always lean on God.

2. Focusing and goal of the curriculum is develop student to have a Christian character.
As a Christian school, we have focusing on Christian Education. We are Christian in belief and faith in Jesus Christ, so we must teach children first and foremost to be people of Christian character. Our goal is to see children develop a strong foundation for their faith that will be carried into adulthood. We have to put high priority on academic excellence with accelerated curriculum, that prepares our children for superior academic performance in future settings. Our ultimate goal is to train up students in the way he should go, that he would not depart from it, both spiritually and academically. We must remember, Christian school exist to glorify God by developing students in Biblical truth and obey law of God. Students know his goal in this life is to glorify God names. Students know God want them to have a goal like God's will. Every child need to know they should depend their life in Jesus Christ.
Our curriculum must have several point below:
a.God the creator and savior. We have teach them that the world is not self-existent or eternal and God made all things of nothing. God formed the universe through process until it was "very good" in his sight. We have to teach them about God has perfect foreknowledge (Acts.15:18, I Pet.1:12,etc) and He is omnipotent. God is able to do what He will at any place and at any time. He is free to "inject" into the world supernatural power drastically "changing" existing condition. Our students should know God loves them so much, but as a human being, usually we love do something that not obey God rules. We more like to do what we like, not what God likes. And it's happen to Adam, the first man in this world. Not obey God's laws it a sin. And Adam fall into the sin. By this sin, since Adam, all people ever born fell from their original righteousness and communion with God, and so became dead in sin, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."(Romans 3:23). But God loves us, so He doesn't let us live inside the sin. He send His only Son, Jesus Christ to save us from dead, " For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal live. For God did not send his Son into the world to condem the world, but to save the world through him.(John 3:16-17).
So, if they know about how amazing our God when he created man (or the children) and this universe, how much God loves for us and how God save our live through crucifixion of the Christ at Golgotha, they will learn about how to honor deeply His name in their lives.
b. We have teach them that God's word is sufficient for all area of life, and reveal God's character and standard. Therefore, it's the guiding tools we use for character development. We teach that, through faith and repentance in Christ, our sin can be forgiven. We teach that life-changing character start from when they receive Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Christ will transform our behavior and character. Our lives have to reflects the image of God and bringing glory to God. This is the Good News that we endeavor to consistently share with every student, believing that it will bear the fruit of good works in their life.
* I agree there are still another thing, or many things about topic for our curriculum that we have to teach to our students, but I'm not to write one by one at this article. That 2 point above just an example for our curriculum.
3. Created Christian environment at school.
Important third point is every Christian school need to created Christian environment in that school. Example, we need to hang a picture about Jesus teaching, events when Jesus teaching or life of Jesus, etc. Another important thing is all of the educator have a together spirit for building Christian environment with their address, and polite when their spoke each other, have a respect to each other and show their "agape" love to students and parents, or everyone in that school. And this behavior should become a Christian environment at that Christian school. This behavior have become daily life at that school.
Maybe teacher or educator can add a custom to praise God and love speak God's word to other.
At this point, we can do a lot of thing to created Christian environment at our school.
